Bringing plants into a home, is a great way to give a room life and to bring the outside in. Plants are known to calm people down and of course, create fresh oxygen. Also, adding warm weather plants to a brightly lit room, such as a cactus, may bring warmth to the atmosphere. Some of my favorite plants to bring into a space are cacti, tropical plants and succulents.

 Try it yourself with fresh cut flowers or your chosen plant and group them in odd numbers on a mantel, in an empty corner, on a shelf, going up the stairs, on coffee tables, desks and countertops.

This is the home of 100 year old artist Gisele d'Ailly van Waterschoot van der Gracht. Her home is located on the 6th floor of an apartment building in Amserdam. She has a very eclectic and bohemian style.
